Calennig do dozens of weddings every year in Wales and beyond.

Our touring experience covers the world. We know and understand all the problems and delights of wedding work and we continually get extra bookings from the events where we play... often a string of friends will all book us for their weddings, too.

We can work in any combination from the core duo of Pat (caller, concertina, spoons) and myself (button accordeon) through the four- piece, four of Wales' best known folk musicians, to the powerful six-piece festival band with bagpipes, bass, bombardes -- a wall of sound.

Price depend on size of band and distance, but as a rough guide the duo works at £150 to £200, the four-piece £300-ish and the festival band £ 400-£500. We're always willing to talk, anyway.

1998 was a celebration year for Wales‘ most widely-travelled band: Calennig have now been on the road for 20 years. Those years have seen them make three tours of New Zealand, around 12 trips to the United States plus countless concerts, clubs and festivals across Europe from Brittany to Italy. In 1997 Calennig played in Scandinavia for the first time with a highly-successful tour of Finland. In 1998, pressure of work meant having to turn down an invitation to Australia‘s huge National Folk Festival, a visit which Calennig now hope to make soon. In 1999, Estonia beckons... plus return visits to New Zealand, America and some of Calennig's favourite British festivals.
