Meet the Band
Iain Ramsay-Clapham - Highland RagPipes, Keyboards, Guitar, Bouzouki, Whistles and Bodhran is originally from Glen Lyon. He now lives in Balquhidder (Rob Roy Country), where he spends most of his spare time creating and mixing new PIPERACTIVE sounds! A Software Co Director, married to Gilli they have a baby boy called Connor!
Kenny Forsyth has been in the business for years. He plays Highland RagPipes, every conceivable Whistle, Guitar, and has even been known to sing! Originally from Bridge of Allan, he now lives in Glasgow working for PWC as a Corporate Strategist! He and Lorrie, his wife are expecting their first baby right now!
Matthew (Moff) Anderson plays both the acoustic and electric Guitars, Mandolin, Octave Mandolin, Bodhran and sings. A Chartered Surveyor originally from Bridge of Allan, he now lives in Fife with his wife Yvonne and daughter Phoebe!
Nick Pye, the tall lad (!) plays Highland RagPipes, Small Pipes in D, and an array of brass instruments (with a little persuasion!!) Another Balquhidder man, married to Nickie, he has two great Danes, a fabulous old long wheel base Landrover and an enormous capacity for beer! Latest news is that Nickie is pregnant!
We cannot forget the hugely dependable Colin Menzies, who always does the sound, lights and effects. From the depths of Glen Lyon, Colin grew up in farming and now helps run a contracting business. Great News! - He proposed to his girlfriend Wendy on the millennium Hogmanay.
Fees
£850 For small intimate venues, PIPERACTIVE will provide a personal adaptable programme suitable for a smaller audience. A night of reeling, grooving and fun, this option lends itself well to private parties and functions, where a professional but cosy and relaxed atmosphere is desired.
£1250 A must for those who want to book the full-on, legendary PIPERACTIVE shindig, for their own event. Lights smoke and "Ragpipes" make up the 4 hour Celtic extravaganza on which PIPERACTIVE have built their reputation. Worth every penny, this requires a full day of advance preparation, and a suitable venue with a fully curtained stage (preferably a town or village hall). Early access is required to the venue for backdrops, lighting systems and costumes to be prepared before the show. (NOTE - Saturday nights, mainland UK only).
£2000 For
performances to mass audiences in either the UK or abroad, PIPERACTIVE will perform a tailored programme, appropriate for
stadiums, large venues and public events. Pre-requisites include
the provision of a suitable venue and full PA system, by the
organisation or persons making the booking.
(NOTE – Venues
necessitating more than 2 days absence from UK are subject to
additional costs)
